A one-man adaptation of Twain's classic novel

Adapted and created by Robert Beuth, this version of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn”  employs puppets and masks to tell the story of Huck and Jim’s journey down the Mississippi River. This production is a dream come true for Bob, as Huckleberry Finn has been his favorite novel now for over 50 years.

Bob Beuth

Bob has been making masks and puppets for the theater for many years, initially learning mask-making from Julie Taymor in the early '80s in New York. He has since designed and built puppets for the Broad Stage, The Rubicon in Ventura, the Virginia Avenue Project, and Pacific Resident Theater, among others.

Running four weekends at the Moving Arts Theater in February 2024,  he hopes his production inspires others to read the book that Ernest Hemingway said was “The greatest  American novel ever written.”
